“God granted me a vision on how to help people become a

#VISIONARY in their own lives and families and a positive #CHANGEMAKER in the world.”

Since 1990, when I graduated from university and became the Founder of my first business, JUNK MAIL Publishing in South Africa, I focused my life on learning, piloting and building the knowledge, systems, networks and instruments needed to make positive change happen at personal, family, local community and global level.

At the time, the concept of a ‘social entrepreneur’ had not been widely used, as much as the term had already been introduced by a man called Howard R. Bowen in his 1953 book, ’Social Responsibilities of the Businessman’.

As happens to many of us, I was asked at the age of four what I wanted to be when I grow up. I knew then already that I wanted to help people. And in my four-year old mind I had an understanding that our “house doctor” always helped, when one of us was not feeling well. And so, when I responded with “I want to be a doctor” and inevitably got positive affirmations in exchange, for me that question was settled. Until I actually started studying medicine and had the opportunity to work in an Emergency Ward – where the possibility of death and physical trauma became only too real. I also worked with prematurely-born infants… so tiny, that they would fit on one hand, while I gently let drops of milk from a syringe flow in-between those astonishingly perfectly drawn little lips, with the other hand…

LIFE. So precious!

And we humans – so fragile, yet so seemingly strong and invincible…

Truly ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’. (Psalm 139:14).

I never completed my medical degree. Instead, I went on to study languages and history, entered the publishing industry, progressed into corporate communications and started my own businesses, some successful, some not. And ultimately, dedicated my life to helping Africa’s 200 million disadvantaged youth, especially those aged 18-24, fulfill their God-given potential. I started by training unemployed youth, then took on the challenge of serving a deep rural, educational non-profit organisation in a tiny village in Mpumalanga, South Africa. After a decade of trying to push – like Sysiphus – a ‘rock’ uphill, I decided to rather develop and implement systems, which can effect mass change, on a strategic level. And that’s how I first got involved in technology to identify and build the systems needed to help millions of people grow businesses, and now applying AI to reduce the workload and entry-level for astonishing business results for everyone!

Through all my efforts, the one thing that I knew makes me happy, is to ‘help people’.

I finally realised that the real question a parent or other adult should ask a child is: “Have you asked Daddy in Heaven yet why He made you and sent you to Earth?”

I understood at last that, instead of following my own ideas, I should just ask our Father in Heaven, in the Name of Jesus Christ, to guide my steps, according to His will. And that is when my real life’s adventure started!

I have to be honest: it hasn’t been easy. But in the process, I have become a passionate and joyful Faithworker, submitting to, and collaborating with God, who I believe showed me practical ways to help ANYONE – including YOU – on your life’s journey, becoming transformed while learning to understand God’s purpose for your life, and making a difference in your corner of the world.

What an incredible life I have had so far! And I’m so excited about connecting with you and hopefully accompanying you on your own journey, learning to live in even closer relationship to God, as we keep on asking Him to send the Holy Spirit to guide us in truly becoming “salt & light” to as many people as He introduces into our lives.

If you feel called to join me on this transformative journey, so that together we can have achieve a greater shared impact in building God’s Kingdom here on Earth – I would love to hear from you!

Sign up now to receive my #VISIONARY email newsletter. From time to time – as Holy Spirit guides me – I’ll share insights and ideas that may be helpful in your own journey of transformation and positive impact in your community, wherever God has placed you in the world.

All Glory To God.”
